Passionate ethnographer, field work specialist, and multilingual professional (Portuguese, English, Nepali, French).

As an Anthropologist of Religion, my research explores the complex relationship between Christianity and political engagement in the public sphere. I combine interdisciplinary approaches that include ethnographic fieldwork, political theory, and religious studies to understand this interplay.

Ethnography is my core research method, allowing me to immerse myself in religious communities in the Global South and elsewhere, observing their practices, and understanding their political behaviour through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and life histories. This qualitative data is further complemented by the analysis of media, political discourse, and religious publications.

Past and current projects include ethnographic field work in Brazil and Nepal.
